AN INTERVIEW WITH THE COLLECTIVE BAND – DOC MASON MINI FESTIVAL

The universe has brought us together and from then two years passed and its all grown organically.

We are a cross genre band and many of our musical influences are from many genres from different eras. Our latest album is called ‘Mixed Personalities’ which was released on the 4th of August 2017. The album consists of two disks of cross genre music, over 30 songs and features from vocalists, producer’s, DJ’s and instrumentalists.
To be able to do what we love for a living would be nice… nothing on a crazy scale though, the main goal is to always enjoy what we do, to try and spread love and positive energy, break down the walls of society and revolutionise the way people think.

We can’t really put our audience into a box or slap a label on them, all the places we have been to in the past two years we have met and had love shown from many backgrounds, cultures and ages.

THE COLLECTIVE BAND WILL BE PERFORMING IN WALTER’S BAR AND EATERY AT 5PM ON 13TH JANUARY.

BAND BIO:

Aaron Wyles (AJ) – (Lead guitarist/Lead Producer/Vocalist and Manager), the man that laid the foundations and it all started in his spare bedroom.

Jordan Hankains (Rhythm Guitarist) – he is a very talented young lad, he has been with us for a year, in fact he is the youngest member of our family.

David Cattermole (Bass Guitarist) – has been with us for a year and in that time he has definitely brought the funkie bass to our sounds.
Toby Winter – (Drums), we can always count on Toby to make the sound that we need to get us moving, the big hairy man has adopted the name within the band as the ‘Missing Link’ due to being big…. and hairy.

Craig Featherstone ‘Cra6us’ (Keyboard/Guitarist and Vocalist) – if your native to the town of Grantham you will see and hear our Craig busking everyday buzzing with energy and a smile on his face.

Tom Spencer (Vocalist) – with a voice of a angel and a stage presents of a hooligan, Tom without doubt creates a brilliant vibe when performing, we couldn’t ask for a better hype man.

Gwiva (Vocalist) – always preaching freedom peace and love within his lyrics Gwiva is one of the best ‘freestylers’ we’ve been lucky enough to have come across.

Sooth Sayer (Vocalist/Manager) – the eldest member of our family, you can always count on Sooth to encourage you to look within self and to always try to understand, he manages the majority of our shows.
